Both stakes are held by DAME for the duration of the game. Never touches Edgar's wallet.

Why anonymous

No login. No account creation. No email. No IP logging. Just a pseudonym you choose per game. Everything runs over Tor v3, moves are validated server-side against python-chess, payouts go to a Lightning address you supply once at match start — DAME never asks who you are.

Time control

Choose per game: 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 seconds per move. If your clock runs out on a move, you forfeit. No pre-move engine analysis window — the bot-defense is time itself.

Rules of the house

  1. You supply a Lightning address at match start. That is your payout channel.
  2. You supply a pseudonym. It appears on the leaderboard if you win.
  3. Your player_token is your identity for the game. Save it or your browser tab.
  4. Resign at any time — opponent gets the pot immediately.
  5. Draw → no payout. Play for the win.
  6. Cheating detection: move timing is logged. Suspected engine users are banned by pseudonym+wallet.

FAQ

Is the site custodial? Briefly, yes — for the length of one game. Stakes hit DAME's Lightning wallet, then flow to the winner. If both players go offline, the pot stays in DAME — Edgar cannot manually withdraw it.

Can I play from a phone? Yes. Tor Browser (Android) or Onion Browser (iOS). Scan the QR to pay.

Is Edgar a real person? Yes. But you'll never learn who he is, and neither will the government of whatever country he happens to be in this week.

Why not build it on a normal website? Because a normal website needs KYC to touch Bitcoin at scale. DAME does not.
